A Pleasant Grove, Alabama man is behind bars after Jefferson County detectives found millions of dollars worth of narcotics in his possession Tuesday.
The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office says the bust was part of a months-long investigation, which led to the execution of four search warrants and the arrest of 43-year-old Renardo Henderson.
Detectives say Henderson had just returned to Alabama with the intention to distribute the following drugs:
18 lbs of methamphetamine
2 lbs of heroin
224 lbs of marijuana
313 lbs of marijuana candies
1 Napolm marijuana grenade
6 lbs of cannabis pills
11 oz liquid cannabis
39.5 lbs of psilocybin mushroom candy bars
Authorities say the aforementioned narcotics are valued at almost $4 million on the streets. Detectives also seized an AK47 assault rifle, a Glock 23 handgun and $18,360 in cash during the arrest.
Henderson is in the Jefferson County Jail with no bond. According to the jail’s website, he is currently charged with trafficking heroin.
