A mountain lion was recently recorded on camera by a property owner near Rowlett.
Texas Parks and Wildlife Department biologists confirm the sighting from last week and say it’s highly unlikely the elusive animal will ever be seen again in an urban area, according to Fox 4.
Texas Parks and Wildlife told WFAA there hasn’t been a mountain lion sighting in the metroplex in at least two decades. There were sightings in Grayson and Erath counties in 2018 and 2014 but that was it, according to the report.
If you see a mountain lion, the sightings can be reported to the local game warden.
