The Garland Police Department has identified 20-year-old Kevon Knnard Livingston as the shooting suspect who fled the scene from yesterday’s investigation. A warrant has been issued for Livingston’s arrest for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon.
On October 26, at approximately 12:00 pm, Garland Police responded to the report of a gunshot wound at an apartment community in the 600 block of Broadway Commons. Upon arriving, officers located two males suffering from gunshot wounds inside the residence. One male, the apartment resident, was transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. A second male was pronounced deceased at the scene. This male is identified as 18-year-old Ja Ray Malik Hollywood.
Officers learned that Hollywood and Livingston arrived at the apartment and were allowed entry by the male resident. Once inside, a disturbance occurred for unknown reasons, which led to guns being produced and shots fired.
Livingston fled the scene prior to officers arriving. He is considered armed and dangerous.
