Rockwall Parks and Recreation Removing Some Equipment from City Facilities to Eliminate Social Distancing Violations

Rockwall Parks and Recreation will be removing some equipment from parks and playgrounds to eliminate social distancing violations.

All basketball rims on basketball courts at city facilities will be removed. They are also removing all  swings on playgrounds, so there is only one swing per bay at all city facilities.

Signage will also be placed at the disc golf course at Harry Myers Park. Signage on tees and baskets will warn players that all baskets will be removed and the course will be closed until further notice if violations continue.

Rockwall Parks and Recreation has already closed restroom facilities, cancelled scheduled programs, closed pickleball courts, and closed the dog park at Harry Myers Park.
