Rockwall County’s Confirmed COVID-19 Case Total Now Up To 10

Rockwall County Office of Emergency Management has announced the 10th confirmed case of COVID-19 in Rockwall County.

The 10th individual to test positive is a resident of Fate. There are now four confirmed cases in Fate.

Four of the other nine cases are Rockwall residents, one is a Royse City resident, and one is a Rowlett resident.

Texas reported 731 more cases of the new coronavirus Wednesday, an increase of about 22% over the previous day, bringing the total number of known cases to 3,997. A total of 13 new counties reported their first cases Wednesday. More than half of the state’s 254 counties have reported at least one case.

Harris County has reported the most cases, 680, followed by Dallas County, which has reported 631 cases.

The state is also reporting 17 additional deaths, bringing the statewide total to 58. That’s an increase of about 41% from what the state reported Tuesday. Both Harris County and Dallas County reported two additional deaths. Dallas County reported 13 deaths in total, more than any other county. Bexar County reported four additional deaths, bringing its total to nine — the second-highest county total in the state.
