National Police Officer Memorial Day Event Honoring Fallen Officers to Be Held in Rockwall on May 15th

by Front Porch Rockwall

From Rockwall Police Department:

May 15th of each year is designated as National Police Officer Memorial Day. The memorial day was signed into law in 1962 by President John F. Kennedy to pay tribute to the local, state, and Federal peace officers who have lost their lives in the line of duty.

There are numerous memorial events held throughout the nation on that day and we will be holding an event here in Rockwall to pay tribute to the Texas Law Enforcement Officers who have lost their lives in the last year.

The memorial event will be held at the First Responder Memorial in the Public Servant’s Garden at Rest Haven Cemetery at 8:30 AM.

Please come out and show your support to the heroes who have paid the ultimate sacrifice.
