(Press Release)- Lake Pointe Church in Rockwall will be hosting Disaster Relief Training on April 5th and 6th.
Training is offered through the Texas Baptist Men (TBM) and registration is now open.
Yellow Cap (DR Training): Friday, April 5; 6:30-9:30 pm; Room A114
If you are new to disaster relief or your badge is expired (over 3 yrs.), you should register for this class. If you are new to TBM and you take this class on Friday, you can take the two classes on Saturday.
DR ServSafe: Sat., April 6; 9:00am – 12:00 noon; Room A114
This basic food handling class is about safe handling of food in a disaster. The course material has been remodeled to specifically address not just safe food handling, but how to do it in a disaster.
Clean Out & Recovery (Mud Out/Clean Out): Sat. April 6; 1:00 – 3:00 pm;
This class will teach you how to clean out homes that have been damaged by floods, tornadoes, hurricanes & other natural disasters. Lake Pointe is in the process of putting together a Mud Out/Clean Out trailer. Until that happens, we will support and partner with other units, including the Ellis Bapt. Mud Out Unit.
